Mummy hold my hand
Mummy, hold my hand,
My feathers are falling.
I’ll not live to be a man, although I lived so than I can, I walked the narrow path and I aimed high
Why, why then must I die
When Life has just begun?
My feathers are falling,
Oh mummy! Why can’t I run?
Mummy did you know?
Oh mummy! Did you know?
When God came calling; daddy did you know?
Why didn’t you tell me?
I would have prepared myself to go,
When you could hold my hand, i’d be sure you know.
Oh daddy, why did God allow them here? Why didn’t their mothers know, Were their daddies unaware
the gun could take a life some day?
Oh mummy, did their uncles know?
Why did they look the other way?
I am the truth in death, They are the lie of care
Oh mummy! Is this the myth of Heart Man,
Incarnated to force a moral stand?
Is Metamorphosis a scavenger, where violence eats the moral fiber ?
The nation’s land is scourged by this feral hand.
Where is the caring of man for man? Where is the village of the loving hand?
Oh mummy! Tell them not to murder innocence
Persuade them not to feed raw grievance,
Tell them this song is not for me,
It’s a forewarning for society
Do not eat from the Heart Man’s table,
But break the silence that will enable,
The silent are unwittingly complicit in the killing spree.
I am death’s messenger of the truth,
I am amongst the fallen youth
