  3. To Rufus Trotman, siblins, family, and friends. On behalf of Roger Atkins and family, I would like to offer you our condolences at the passing of your father and friend Harrington Trotman. May God comfort you at this time.

  4. Today, I say goodbye to my dad, who lived an extraordinary life of nearly a century. While our paths didn’t always align, I deeply respect the journey he walked and the strength it took to be who he was. His 99 years were rich with experiences and lessons that shaped him and, in turn, shaped our family’s story.

Dad was more than just a parent; he was a steady presence, a guide in his own way, and a man of resilience. As we gather to honor him, I think of the memories we shared and the lessons he imparted. His legacy lives on in all of us, in the values he quietly instilled and in the unique mark he left on each of our lives.

Though he is no longer here, his spirit remains with us. I’m grateful for the moments we shared and for the lessons he taught me. Even though our relationship wasn’t always simple, I honor his memory and impact on my life. I love you, Dad, and I’m sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye.

    With respect and remembrance,
    Your son,
    Rufus Trotman
